Guthrie died at their home five miles north of Delta, March 4, 1909, aged 28 years, 9 months and 8 days. She leaves husband, daughter, father, (Jacob Mizer of Delta) mother, brothers and four sisters. Nine years ago she became a Christian and united with the U. B. church at Mt. Pleasant. Her beautiful Christian character and kindly disposition endeared her to all who knew her. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. L. Valentine on Sunday Mar. 7th, at Mt. Pleasant church and the interment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta. She will be greatly missed in the family and community. As fade the stars at morn away Their glory lost in perfect day. So pass away the friends we love, Their presence lost in worlds above, While we o'er their slumbers are weeping. No more in east, or in the west, Fade they from sight, or sink to rest, Fixed firm in their celestial air. They radiant shine eternal there While we sorrow's vigils are keeping. (Newspaper Clipping, No date, Delta Atlas? From Ethlyn Mizer Finley) In Memoriam. I desire to express my sincere thanks to my friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted in help and sympathy during the sickness and at the death of my dear wife. Also to the choir for their beautiful music and for the floral tributes. Jesse H. Guthrie Card of Thanks We wish to express our sincere thanks to our neighbors and friends for their many acts of kindnes during our late affliction. Mr. and Mrs. J. S.
