(Pittsburgh, Pa.) December 30, 1863 Died on the 16th of October, of typhoid fever, in the United States Hospital at Gallipolis, Ohio, William A. Coulter, in the 20th year of his age. He enlisted in the United States service in Co. A, 5th Reg't. O. V., on the 12th day of April, 1861; and after the fatigues and trials and fightings in Western Virginia, for the first six months of this dreadful war, having been in many skirmishes, and in the hand-to-hand fight at Cross Lanes, he sickened and died without a wound; son of Rev James Coulter.
