Declaration For Original Invalid Pension
In the line of duty at Camp Nelson in the State of KY on or about the 27th day of
January 1864 from causes incident to the service was taken with the measles, which
resulted in Pneumonia and finally in disease of the left lung.  He was put in Main ?
Hospital, Covington Kentucky where he remained until October 1864.  He was honorably
discharged at Chicago Illinois on 2 September 1865. 


Additional Comments:
David and his two brothers James C., and John H BEARD all enlisted on the 12 of
August 1862 in Greene County Ohio
