All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/oh/ohfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: MaryLu Metz mlmetz5612@q.com March 5, 2008, 3:56 pm Section 19 Township 1 Range 1 Written: January 18, 1834 Recorded: March 6, 1834 This indenture made this Eighteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty four by and between James Depew of Guernsey County and State of Ohio Farmer and Margaret his wife of the one part and William Bennett of the same county and State afsd farmer of the other part Witnesseth that the said JamesDepew and Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred and sixty dollars good and Lawful money of the United states to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof by the said William Bennett the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said William Bennett forever exonerated and discharged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William Bennett his heirs and Assigns in fee Simple all that had piece or parcel of land estimated to contain eighty acres being the first half of the South west quarter of Section number ninetten Township number one of Range number one of the unappropriated Land in the Military district Contained Eighty acres be the said more or less to have and to hold the said half quarter Section of Land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the Said William Bennett his heirs and assigns forever. And the said James Depew doth for himself his heirs Executors and administrators and each and every of them doth covenant and agree to and with the said William Bennett his heirs Executors administrators and assigns and each and evry of them that the above described tract piece or parcel of Land with the appurtenances to him belonging will warrant and forever defend how all persons claiming or that may claim the said said bargained _______ with the appurtenances to the said William Bennett his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the said James Depew and Margaret his wife have hereunto set their hand and seals the day and year afsd Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of David Attebaught Susan Lowrey James Depew Margaret Depew Recd January thee one thousand Eighteen hudred and thirty four one hundred and sixty dollars the full consideration money for the above Land 18th day of january 1834 M.
