Know all men by these presents that we Joseph Rodgers and Rebecca hiw wife of
the town of Senecaville, Guernsey County, Ohio in consideration of the sum of
Two hundred and twenty eight dollars in hand paid by James Depew of the County
and State aforesaid have bargained and sold and do hereby grant, bargain, sell
and convey unto the Said James Depew his heirs and afsigns forever, Lot numbered
two in the original plat of the Town of Senecaville aforesaid.  To Have and To
hold the premises with the appurtenances unto the said James Depew his heirs and
afsigns forever; And the Said Joseph Rodgers for himself and heirs doth hereby
with Said James Depew his heirs and afsigns, that he is lawfully Seized of the
premifes aforesaid. that the premifes are free and clear from all encumbrances
whatsoever, and that he will forever covenant and defend the Same with the
appurtenances unto the Said James Depew his heirs and afisgns against the lawful
claim of all persons whomsoever.  In Testimony whereof, the Said Joseph Rodgers
and Rebecca his wife have hereunto Set their hands and Seals this fourteenth day
of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty two.
