Sarah Ann Carothers born October 11, 1861 (or 1862) Liberty, Guernsey, Ohio to 
William L. Carothers and Sarah Dales, the tenth of twelve children. 

Found in the 1880 census living at Knox, Guernsey, Ohio: Wm. Crothers 63, Sarah 
Crothers 59, Agness Crothers 24, James Crothers 27, Samuel Crothers 19, Sarah 
Crothers 16, Mary H. Crothers 11.

Sarah married William L. Hosick on January 10, 1883 at Guernsey, Ohio.

They had 4 children: 
George Howard (or Howard George) (born November 4, 1883 Kimbolton, Guernsey, 
Ohio, died September 5, 1917 Newcomerstown, Tuscarawas, Ohio); 

James Walter (born January 27, 1889 Kimbolton, Guernsey, Ohio, died December 
21, 1968 Akron, Summit, Ohio); 

Martha Agnes (born March 22, 1885 Ohio, died 1967); and 

Mary (born August 15, 1887 Ohio, died January 4, 1922). 

Family found in the 1900 census at Jefferson, Guernsey, Ohio: William Hosick 
40, Sarah Hosick 37, Howard Hosick 16, Martha A Hosick 15, Walter J Hosick 11, 
Mary D Hosick 2. Says married 1882. 

Found in the 1910, 1920 censuses at Oxford, Tuscawaras, Ohio: 
1910: William Hosick 49, Sarah Hosick 47, Mary Hosick 12. 

1920: William L Hosick 59, Sarah Hosick 57. 

Found in the 1930 census at Salem, Tuscawaras, Ohio: 
William Hosick 69, Sarah A Hosick 68, Homer E Hunt 8 (grandson). 

Sarah Ann Carothers Hosick died September 19, 1943 Newark, Licking, Ohio. She 
is buried at Hartwood Cemetery, Tuscarawas, Ohio.
