to William L. Carothers and Sarah Dales, the fifth of their twelve children. 
Her siblings were:

U.S.A.); 
John II (born December 27, 1846 Kimbolton, Guernsey, Ohio, married Mary Jane

Stanberry, Gentry, Missouri); 
George Patterson (born May 20, 1848 Guernsey, Ohio, married Emma Ingram 
November 12, 1874 same, died March 6, 1900 Garner, Hancock, Iowa); 
James (born September 20, 1852 Guernsey, Ohio, died January 4, 1897 Guernsey, 
Ohio); 
Agnes E. (born March 3, 1855 Guernsey, Ohio, married David Thompson 1888 same, 
died January 30, 1915 Columbus, Franklin, Ohio); 
Andrew Garfield (born June 25, 1857 Guernsey, Ohio, married Agnes Graham 
December 20, 1888 Manilla, Crawford, IA, died April 16, 1908 Crawford, Iowa);

Margaret married Alexander L. Davis on March 20, 1877 at Guernsey, Ohio. 
The couple had eight children all born at Guernsey, Ohio:

Ohio); 
Sarah (Sadie) Belle born March 21, 1881, married (first cousin) James Gill 
Carothers January 18, 1912 Guernsey, Ohio, died August 8, 1953 Cambridge, 
Guernsey, Ohio, no children); 
William J (born February 3, 1883, died January 16, 1935 Iowa); 
Andrew Samuel Davis (born May 25, 1885, married Pearl Ulrich, died at Guernsey, 
Ohio); 
George M (born April 21, 1887 Guernsey, Ohio, married Jessie B Patterson April 
26, 1911, died February 9, 1918); 
Nannie D. (born April 5, 1889, married John Mathews, died November 21, 1979 
Guernsey, Ohio); 
John A (born October 12, 1891, married Ora Durben January 6, 1920, died 
February 13, 1955 Liberty, Guernsey, Ohio); and 
Florence Margaret (Maggie) (born July 29, 1894, married Frank Ellis Milligan

Margaret Jane (Carothers) Davis died October 25, 1904 at Guernsey, Ohio and was 
buried at the Mount Hermon Cemetery, Knox township, Guernsey County, Ohio.
