CHANEY SUCCUMBS AT HOME NEAR EARLEY'S CHURCH William A. Cahney, 65, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at his home near Earley's church, five miles south of Newcomerstown, from the effects of a paralytic stroke which he suffered Sunday. He had been an invalid for the past four years and bedfast for the past two weeks. He was born in 1972 in the Earley's church vicinity, a son of Jacob and Rachel Chaney. Surviving are the widow, Maude; seven sons, Willard, Earl and Victor Chaney, all of Newcomerstown; Kenneth, Roger, Roland and Orland, all of the home; a daughter, Edna Chaney of the home; four grandchildren; four brothers, Jesse Chaney of Newcomerstown, Charles of Post Boy, Ray of Cresson, Pa., and Leonard of Yazoo City, Missouri and six sisters, Mrs. John Ley of Columbus, Mrs. Ernest Scherrer and Mrs, William Maxfield, both of Coshocton, Mrs. Ralph Curly and Mrs. Viola Dugan both of Newcomerstown, Mrs. George Booth of Science Hill.
