The Coshocton Tribune November 18, 1968
Mrs. Maude Chaney, 87, Guernsey Route 1, died at her home at 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

Born Nov. 20, 1880 in Guernsey County, she was a daughter of Francis and Sarah
Norris McElhaney.  On Nov. 9, 1898, she was married to William Cahney who died
Sept. 30, 1937.

Surviving are a daughter, Miss Edna Chaney of the home; five sons, Victor and
Roger of the home, Kenneth and Orland of Newcomerstown and Roland, Newcomerstown
Route 3; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  A daughter, four sons,
three brothers and a sister are deceased.

Mrs. Chaney attended the former Early Church.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Addy Funeral Home, Newcomerstown
by Rev. Raymond Lyons.  Burial will be in Early Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
