The Daily Jeffersonian January 10, 1963
Alonzo Dawson, 86, 1327 Portland Ave., died unexpectedly at 11 a.m. Thursday at
his home following a heart attack.

He was born Sept. 7, 1876, a son of William A. and Melissa Johnson Dawson.  He
was a member of the First United Brethren Church here.

Mr. Dawson leaves a son, Roy Dawson of Canton; a step-daughter, Mrs. Adath Sears
of Danville, Ill.; two step-sons, William Reasoner of the home and Edgar
Reasoner of Cambridge; and 15 grandchildren.  His wife, the former Sarah Warne,
died March 15, 1961.  Four sisters and three brothers are also deceased.

The body was taken to the Bundy Funeral Home.
