JOHN W. DAWSON TAKEN FROM LIFE

John W. Dawson, 70, of Cumberland, died at his home Thursday night of a heart
attack.  He was the son of William and Sarah Dawson and was a native of Camden,
N. J.  Mr. Dawson had made his home in Cumberland for 32 years and was a painter
by trade.

Surviving are his widow, Rosa; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Thompson of Park street
and Anna Mae Dawson of South Fifth street; four sons, Samuel of LaSalle street,
Marion of Prospect avenue, William of New Concord and Junior of Claysville; two
sisters, Mrs. Anna Baughman of Akron and Mrs. Emma Unger of Monroe, Mich, and
seven grandchildren.  The body is at Tom Funeral Home in Cumberland, where
services will be held at 2:30 o'clock, Sunday afternoon.  Rev. Howard Bay will
officiate.  Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery.
