Forney Funeral Tuesday Cambridge, Ohio Funeral services will be held in the First Baptist Church, Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. for Mrs. Elsie Kennedy, 51, wife of J. R. Forney, night clerk in the Cambridge Post Office. According to information recieved from the family, Mrs. Forney was preparing breakfast Saturday morning in a detached kitchen of their home on Cambridge Rt.3, when her apron caught fire from a coal stove igniting her clothing. She ran in the house where her screams attracted the attention of Mr. Forney who was still not up. He threw bed clothing over her in an attempt to extinguish the fire. Every part of her body was burned with the exception of her feet, because she was wearing shoes. Mr. Forney was severely burned; the right arm to the elbow and both hands. Mrs. Forney was born in Kimbolton, the daughter of James and Catherine DeHart Kennedy. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Sgt. Myron Forney, soemwhere in the South Pacific, and a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Marilyn) Dimmitt. Also four brothers, William Kennedy, of Kimbolton, and Samuel, Andrew, and Bert of Cambridge Road. Burial will be made in Northwood Cemetery.
