She was born March 8, 1929, in Cambridge daughter of the late Fred and Bessie Craig Kenworthy. Mrs. Gibson was a graduate of Cambridge High School. She was an active member of Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church, having served as session treasurer, Sunday school teacher, and in the Women's Missionary Society more than 50 years, and served as lecturer more than 30 years. She was a presiding judge for Knox Township Board of Elections. On the personal interest side, Mrs. Gibson enjoyed gardening, hunting and making crafts. In addition to her parents, she was precede in death by her husband, Leslie Gibson on Jan. 29, 2009. They were married July 2, 1949. She leaves a son, Pastor, Jim (Kathy)Gibson; and a daughter, Joan (Robert) Howell, both of Indian Camp; three grandsons, Benjamin James Gibson of Cambridge, Paul Jewett and Matthew Robert Gibson, both of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mt.
