Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, for
Leslie P. Gibson, 87, of Indian Camp who died unexpectedly Thursday (Jan. 29,
2009) at his residence.

The Rev. Bill Johnson will officiate.  Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Presbyterian
Cemetery with military graveside service conducted by the Guernsey County
Veterans Council.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. today (Sunday) at the funeral home prior to
services at 2 p.m.

He was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Cambridge, son of the late Luccock and Mary (Adams)
Gibson.

Mr. Gibson was a graduate of Brown High School and a U. S. Navy veteran, serving
during World War II.  He was a 50-year member of Indian Camp Grange 1424 and a
member of the American Legion of Cambridge.  He retired from Columbia Gas where
he worked for 30 years as an inspector.  He was a member of Mt. Hermon
Presbyterian Church where he was also a former trustee.  He farmed for many
years, raising Black Angus cattle.

In addition to his parents, he was precede in death by a brother, Lorain Gibson.

He leaves his wife, Ethel Mae (Kenworthy) Gibson of the home, whom he married
July 2, 1949; a son, Jim (Kathy) Gibson of Indian Camp; a daughter, Joan
(Robert) Howell of Indian Camp; three grandsons, Benjamin, Matthew and Paul
Gibson; four nieces and nephews, Glen (Lorna) Gibson of Indian Camp, Barbara
Taylor of Indian Camp, Larry Gibson of Cambridge and Judy (Jay) Wells of
Sacramento, Calif.
