A. GIBSON IS TAKEN BY DEATH Porter A. Gibson, aged 73, passed away Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Britton in Newcomerstown. He had been ill of heart trouble for five months. The deceased was born Sept. 11, 1858, near Kimbolton, the son of George and Elizabeth Miller Gibson. He was a prominent farmer in the vicinity of Tyner until the death of his wife, Mrs. Jane Atkinson Gibson, two years ago and was well known in that community and highly respected by many friends. He was a faithful member of the Kimbolton M. E. church. Mr. Gibson is survived by seven children; Mrs. Ellis Barthalow and Mrs. Charles Britton of Newcomerstown; Mrs. George Rucker and Harlan Gibson. Columbus, Mrs. Melvin Marshall, Sapula, Okla.; Miss Mary Gibson, Akron and Luccock gibson of Cambridge; one brother, Albert of Brady; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bumgardner, Kimbolton and Mrs. Rena Bumgardner, Canonsburg, Pa.; also 15 grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters are deceased. Funeral services will be held at the Kimbolton M. E. church, Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. and burial will be made in the Kimbolton Cemetey.
