Gibson, 79, Cambridge R. D. 1 (near Indian Camp) died at 11 a.m. Monday (Jan. %, 1976) at the home of his son, Leslie Gibson, also of Cambridge R. D. 1. He had been in ill health for some time. A retired farmer and former Knox Twp. clerk, a position he held for many years, Mr. Gibson was born Dec. 29, 1896 at Kimbolton, the son of the late Porter and Mary Jane Atkinson Gibson. He was a member of Mt. Hermon United Presbyterian Church; FOE Lodge 386; Indian Camp Grange; and the Senior Citizens. He had worked at the old Cambridge Sheet Mill at one time. Mr. Gibson leaves two sons, Lorain and Leslie, both of Cambridge R. D. 1; six grandchildren; and one sister, Miss Mary Gibson, Akron. His wife, the former Mary Adams, died Nov. 13, 1963 and one brother and four sisters are also deceased. Friends may call at Thorn Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Dr. James S. Rila officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
