The Guernsey Times 15 December 1898
James Kennedy a prominent farmer of near Kimbolton died last Friday morning 
aged fifty-five years of consumption.  He was united in marriage with Catherine 
DeHart and to them were born six children, five sons, and one daughter.  Of the 
sons, Andrew, Samuel, and William are married.  George resides in Pennsylvania 
and Bert and Miss Elsie aged ten years, reside at home.  The deceased was a 
member of the United Presbyterian Church at Mt. Hermon.  The funeral services 
were held at the home, Monday at 10 o'clock and were conducted by REv. J. S. 
McMunn and Rev. J. T. Campbell, interment was made in the new cemetery at 
Kimbolton.  Auditor DeHart who is a brother of Mrs. Kennedy attended the 
funeral.  Mrs. DeHArt accompanied him.
