The Zanesville Times Recorder December 14, 1963
H. Landon (Landy) Howell, 98, of 832 Dryden road and longtime resident of 
Spratt, died at 10:45 a.m. Friday in Foster Nursing Home where he had been a 
patient for three years.

A native of Spratt, he was born Sept. 22, 1865, a son of Albert and Mary 
Howell.

He was a retired farmer and came to Zanesville 15 years ago to make his home 
with a daughter, Mrs. Orville Paxson of 832 Dryden road.

his wife, Sarah, preceded him in death and four sons and a daughter are also 
deceased.

In addition to Mrs. Paxson, he is survived by two other daughters, Rose Dawson 
of 403 La Salle street, South Zanesville and mrs. Florence Dawson of 
Springfield; two sons, Edgar of 1415 Indiana street and Dalton of Route 4; 17 
grndchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 14 great-greatgrandchildren.

Friends may call at DeLong and Baker funeral home.  Rev. James Mason will 
officiate.  Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery.
