He married Sarah Lewis on December 7, 1813 at Llanbadarn-Fawr, Radnorshire, Wales. Found in the 1841 census living at Llananno, Knighton, County Island: Radnorshire, Wales, John Ingram, age 50 (born abt 1791) with a wife Sarah, age 45 (born abt 1796), James age 12, Elizabeth 8, and Ann 3. Says he is a miller. (From Nancy A:) The Ingrams were Baptists in Wales belonging to the Maesyrhelem Chapel in Llananno, Radnorshire, Wales. John was a miller by trade in Wales. Many farmers had mill rights on their property. Some mills were agricultural, others were converted to flannel mills. They were possibly from Mid Wales, west of Knighton and north of a spa town called Ilandridrod Wells. Other towns near, were Ilanbister and Llanno. The migrations went east towards the factories from rural Ireland, Wales and maybe south from Scotland into the newly industrialized England.) John and Sarah Ingram and their younger children emigrated to probably Tuscarawas, Ohio some time before 1860. Most of their married children had also emigrated to Ohio by 1860. Found in the 1860 census living at Oxford, Tuscarawas, Ohio: John Ingram 70 farmer, Sarah Ingram 67, Eleanor Ingram 14, granddaughter born in Maryland (Evan's daugher), Diana Ingram 5 , another granddaughter, born in Ohio, Found in the 1870 census at Liberty, Guernsey, Ohio: John 72, retired farmer; wife Sarah 70, housekeeping; granddaughter Dianna age 13 (attending school). Lives next to John Carothers. John Ingram died December 6, 1870 at Bridgeville, Wheeling, Guernsey, Ohio and is buried probably in Guernsey, Ohio. In John's will, he mentions granddaughter, Diana Ingram beside his children listed as: John, James, Sharlot Thomas, Sarah (Mrs. Richard Seth) Worthing, Mary Jones, Elizabeth (Mrs. Thomas) Worthing, Ann Black, and noted his son Evan was dead and left nothing to Evan's heirs. Evan's children had been adopted by his brother, James Ingram. This will was witnessed by William Carothers and George Carothers. The will was probated in December 1870.
