He was born Oct. 11, 1934, in Clarington, son of the late Lawrence and Bertha Jackson. Mr. Jackson worked in the oil field as a general laborer for many years. He enjoyed collecting metal. Mr. Lawrence was a U. S. Navy veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in deth by a brother, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Jennie (Sherrard) Jackson of the home, whom he married Sept. 20, 1958; a daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Robinson of West Virginia; a stepdaughter, Linda Ingram of Cumberland; three stepsons, Reno (Sandy) Ingram of Newcomerstown, Darrell (Diana) Ingram Jr. of Kimbolton, and John (Kathy) Ingram of Cambridge; three brothers, Richard Jackson of Ashland, Clarence (Janet) Jackson of Greenwich, and Walter Jackson of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Dorcas Campbell of Byesville and Olive Strauquadine of Columbus; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bob Hollins officiating. Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
