Lawyer, Sr., 26, of Columbus, formerly of Cambridge will be held at 10 o'clock this morning at the Lockbourne Air Force base in Columbus. Lt. Col. Arnold Lyerly, base chaplain and Rev. Joseph Brownlee of Cambridge will officiate. Burial will be in Columbus. Lt. Lawyer and six other fliers were killed June 27 in a crash of a C-47 transport near Pasadena, Calif. The victim attended Cambridge grade and high school and served as a bomber gunner in World War II. He later attended Ohio State University and reenlisted in the Air Force in February 1948. He received his wings and a commission on June 23, 1950. He was sent to Korea in December 1951 and was ordered home last May 10 after flying 53 missions as a jet fighter pilot. Surviving are his widow, Jean; two sons, William G., Jr. and Raymond Lawyer of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur M. Lawyer of Washington D. C.; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Meredith of Cambridge and E. W. Lawyer of Cambridge.
