The Zanesville Times Recorder December 7, 1925
William LAwyer, 83, passed away at his home, 455 North Fifth street, following 
an illness of complications incident to advanced age.  Mr. Lawyer was a 
veteran of the Civil War and was a member of the Cambridge G. A. R. post.  He 
leaves the following children to morn his death; E. W. Lawyer, city, F. H. 
LAwyer, Zanesville, Mrs. N. G. Martin, Cambridge Route 1, Mrs. Nellie Leeper 
of the home, Mrs. C. E. Lowry, city, Mrs. Elmer LePage and Mrs. Ernest Barber, 
Cambridge.

Brief funeral services will be held at the family home Tuesday at 12 o'clock 
in charge of the G. A. R. post, following which the remains will be taken to 
Hopewell where additional services will be held at the Hopewell church at 1:30 
o'clock conducted by the Rev. Mr. Sowders and Rev. Martin.
