A. Taylor, West State st., Newcomerstown. She was 86. Mrs. Marlatt was born near Center, O., Guernsey county, July 15, 1853, a daughter of Samuel and Nancy Blair. She joined the Hopewell Methodist church, near Cambridge in eary life. On Aug. 29, 1872, she was married to Seth Marlatt, who died on June 5, 1937. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. H. A. Geese and Mrs. Newton Young, both of Cambridge Route 1, Mrs. W. W. Ferbrache of Mansfield, Mrs. Elizabeth Geese of Cambridge and Mrs. J. A. Taylor of Newcomerstown; two sons, L. B. Marlatt of Cambridge and Barton Marlatt of Clairton, Pa.; one brother, John Blair of Coshocton route; four half-brothers, James Oliver of Norwich, O, S. S. Oliver of Cambridge, G. M. Oliver of Buffalo, O. and Nixon Oliver of Winterset; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Brief services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bonnell funeral home, Newcomerstown, followed by rites at 2:30 at the Hermon church, near Cambridge. Rev. Mark Roy, New Concord Methodist pastor, will deliver the sermon and burial will be in the Herman cemetery.
