The Zanesville Times Recorder January 3, 1972
Alfred L. Mathews, 83, of Kimbolton Route 2 died at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Good
Samaritan Medical Center.

He was a retired carpenter and farmer.

Born Sept. 10, 1888, in North Salem, he was a son of Mathew T. and Lucinda
Little Mathews.

He was a member of North Salem United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his widow, the former Rissa Martin; three sons, Howard of
Kimbolton Route 2, Ray of Westerville and Richard of Newcomerstown; three
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Two brothers are deceased.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Bundy-Law Funeral Home in Cambridge
with Rev. Benjamin Blumel officiating.  Burial will be in Bell Cemetery near
North Salem.
