Wesley M. Oliver, 82, Adamsville Route 1, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Bethesda
hospital, Zanesville, following an illness of six months.

He was born Feb. 5, 1881 in Guernsey County, a son of James and Louisa Howell
Oliver.  On Sept. 20, 1906, he married Mattie Funk who died April 5, 1962.

He was a member of the Adamsville Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Clarence of Scotts Bluff, Neb.; a daughter, Mrs. Russell
Matchett of Adamsville Route 1; three brothers, John (a twin) of Zanesville,
Willis and Charles of Zanesville route; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Orndorff of
Norwich, Mrs. Blanche Butler of Roseville and Mrs. Marie Curtis of Parkersburg,
W. VA.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One brother and a sister are deceased.

Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Adamsville Methodist Church in
charge of Rev. Paul A Brodt.  Burial will be in the New Hope cemetery.

Friends may call at the Shirer and Sons funeral home in Adamsville today after 3
p.m. at the church Friday until time of services.
