Oliver, 84, of 704 Seborn Ave., died at Good Samaritan Medical Center where he had been a patient one week. Born in Guernsey County, Mr. Oliver was a son of the late James A. and Louisa Z. Howell Oliver. He had been a resident of Muskingum County since 1901. Mr. Oliver was a rural mail carrier at Sonora 43 years. He was a member of Sonora United Methodist Church, Laura Cahpter 264 OES at Norwich, Malta Masonic Lodge 118 at Norwich and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and the Retired Mail Carriers Association. His wife, Harriett E. Hamilton Oliver, died Aug. 18, 1917. Surviving are two sons, Dwight E. of Pomeroy and Myron E. of 704 Seborn Ave.; a brother, Willis B. Oliver of Newark; a sister, Mrs. Marie Curtis of Parkersburg, W. Va.; two grandchldren and four great-grandchildren. NOTE: The date of death for his wife is a misprint.
