The Zanesville Times Recorder March 31, 1931
Samuel Sherrard, aged 79, died Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the home of his
son, Frank, Cambridge R. D. 5, following a two months illness.

Mr. Sherrard has been a Guernsey county farmer all his life.  He is survived by
three sons, Allen of Byesville R. D. 1; Howard of Cambridge and Frank of
Cambridge R. D. 5; two daughters, Mrs. P. C. Hannah of Columbus and Mrs. J. B.
Forney of Cambridge; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  His wife
preceded him in death 11 years ago.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the McMillen
and Scott funeral parlors on Wheeling avenue, conducted by Rev. John P. McLeod.
 Interment will be made at Northwood cemetery.
