Wilmer R. Sherrard

Wilmer Ray Sherrard, 76, of 125 Franklin Ave., died at 3:52 p.m., Tuesday 
(March 27, 1990) at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Columbus.
He was born Jan. 14, 1914, in Guernsey County, son of the late Frank and Mary 
(Gadd) Sherrard.  He was a truck driver for 25 years for Holmes Trucking Co., 
a member of VFW Post 2901 and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three 
brothers.
Mr. Sherrard leaves his wife, Mary (Fulton) Sherrard, whom he married Dec. 23, 
1957; four sons, Dennis Sherrard of Cambridge; Wilmer Sherrard of Chillicothe; 
David Sherrard of Florida and Roger Sherrard of the home; five daughters, Mrs. 
Clyde (Teresa) Heckett; Mrs. James (Ann) Dingus and Mrs. William (Marjorie) 
Johnston, all of Cambridge; Mrs. Calvin (Carol) Williams of Florida and Mrs. 
Paul (Lisa) Lepley of New Concord; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Jennie) Jackson 
of Cambridge and Mrs. Richard (Ella) Mathews of Newcomerstown; 16 
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Scott Funeral home, 
where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Patrick Hayes 
officiating.  Military graveside services and burial will be conducted by the 
Guernsey County Veterans Council in Northwood Cemetary.
