Kent-Bessie E. Squibb, 94, passed away May 13, 2013.

She was born in the Cambridge area on Dec. 11, 1918, to Ellsworth and Dale Oliver 
Chalfant.

In 1936, she married William B. Squibb, and they had two children, Gale and Tom.

The Squibb family moved to Kent, where both Bill and Bessie continued to reside
for the remainder  of their lives.  Bessie was employed by W. T. Grant store in
Kent and at the Kent State University Registrar's office.

She is survived by her daughter, Gale Squibb Smith of Huron S. D.; and her
daughter-in-law, Sally Settle Squibb of Cuyahoga Falls; five grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Traditions at Bath Road and National Church
Residences Home and Community Services for their excellent care and kindness.  A
special thanks to Rev. Douglas Denton and the United Methodist Church of Kent
for their many years of visits and emotional support.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the Northwood Cemetery,
Cambridge.

Funeral arrangements provided by Bissler and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, Kent.
