His Grandparents were William and Agnes Henderson who came from County Down, Ireland in 1758, they settled in Lewistown, Mifflin Co., Pennsylvania. William was a major in the War of 1812. She was educated in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, I assume she was probably born there. She came to Guernsey Co., Ohio in 1806 with her husband and Children. She was the first Teacher in Guernsey Co., Ohio.
