The bodies of Ruby "Elaine" Heston, 44, formerly of Kimbolton, and Charles A. Schreiber, age unavailable, were pulled from the wreckage Tuesday. Their identity was confirmed by Fayette County Coroner Dr. Phillip Reilly. Heston, a 1980 graduate of Cambridge High School, was president of Aero Executive Services, which is based at Rosraver Airport in Fayette County. She is the daughter of Eugene and Ruby Heston. Schreiber was reportedly piloting the plane at the time of the crash. Reilly listed multiple blunt force trauma as the cause of death for the victims. Heston and Schreiber were on a flight-check run at the time of the crash, according to a flight instructor who worked for Heston. Flight checks are required every two years for pilots who want to maintain their licenses. Heston was reportedly administering the test to Schreiber. The plane crash occured at approximately 3:24 p.m. Several witnesses reported seeing the plane crash into the hillside, but due to the landscape and limited access, emergency crews opted to wait until Tuesday to remove the victims. Extrication crews had to use ropes to haul cutting equipment up to the crashed fuselage and remove the victims. Heston had reportedly been involved with Pittsburgh-area aviation for 20 years and was highly regarded as a flight instructor. Federal investigators combed the wreckage searching for clues as to what caused the crash. Witnesses reported that there was no explosion, fire, or smoke afterward. The aircraft, a Mooney M20F manufactured in 1967, was owned by Dennis P. Bucci of County and Schreiber, according to FAA records.
