THOMAS and LYDIA BAILEY of CONNECTICUT


Following are records from New London, CT. (Thanks to Troy Bailey for the 
following information).

1655 Thomas Bayley was marryed to Lyddia the daughter of James Redfin 20th of 
Jany.*

1656 Mary Bayley the daughter of Thomas & Lydia Bayley was borne ye 14th of 
February

1658 Thomas Bayley sonn of Thomas & Lydia Bayley borne ye 5th of March

*Lydia Redfield was the sister of James Redfin, not his daughter. Her father was 
William 
Redfin. Please refer to "Genealogical History of the Redfield Family in the 
United States" 
by John Howard Redfield, 1860, footnote, p. 7.  Spelling and grammar as in 
original

The following information is from the Barbour Collection, a reference for early 
New 
London vital records (see link below):

BAILEY 

James, son of Thomas and Lydia, b 26 Sep 1666 

John, son of Thomas and Lydia, b Apr 1661 

William, son of Thomas and Lydia, 27 Apr 1664

According to the records of Donna Beers, Thomas and Lydia had two other 
children: 

Joseph b Feb. 19, 1667/68 

Lydia b Aug. 2, 1670
