Item. First To my wife Rebecca Perdue the one third of my whole estate real and personal Item. 2nd To my son William I bequeath three hundred dollars. Item. 3rd To my daughter Catherine Estle three hundred dollars. Item. 4th To my son James Perdue three hundred dollars. 5th To my son Asa Perdue three hundred dollars. 6th To my daughter Rachel Carpenter one hundred dollars 7th To my daughter Sarah Davidson three hundred dollars. 8th To my daughter Mary Spencer three hundred dollars. 9th to my grandson Isaak Logan and son of my deceased daughter Elizabeth Logan three hundred dollars. 10th To my grandson Neal Perdue and son of Rachel Carpenter my daughter two hundred dollars 11th It is my desire that my real estate remain unsold during the lifetime of my wife Rebecca Perdue and I do hereby appoint my son, James Perdue, my executor of this my Last Will and Testament and authorize him to settle my whole estate agreeable to my Will and law to settle all just claims against my estate and to collect all claims justly due me and at the death of my said wife Rebecca Perdue may if he choses so to do take my farm at its appraised value and pay to my heirs each one his or her proportional share as proved in this Will. 12th That if my son James Perdue declines serving as my Executor or by death or unavailable causes then in that event I do appoint my son William Perdue my Executor and empower him the same as my son James Perdue to settle and adjust all claims belonging to my Estate give him the second privilage to take my farm and pay off all the heirs on the same terms that I propse to let my son James Perdue have my farm and further should I Jonathan Perdue depart this life of a sudden and my son James Perdue be unable to attend to the duties assigned to him in due time that in that event my son William Perdue shall forthwith take charge of my Estate and set in good faith until my son James Perdue does arrive and hand over his doings and proceedings unto the aforesaid James Perdue and give all propery information respecting the situation of affairs belonging to my Estate.
