David Wilson’s Will I David Wilson of Westland Township Guernsey county in the State of Ohio do make and publish this my last Will and Testament I the following manner, that is to say. Item the first. I give and devise to my beloved Wife Margaret her lawful right in my personal property and the occupancy and us of the Mansion house and full use and privilege of the East hundred acres of land whereon we now reside so long or as long as she remains my widow or if said widow and heirs should see or think proper to sell said one hundred acres of land that my Executors sell said land and put the one third of said sale on interest and pay said interest to my said wife yearly. Item the second. I give and bequeath to my son Thomas L. the one undivided half that is one hundred acres of land on the West side of my mansion farm by my son Thomas L. paying to and for my son John One thousand Dollars I the following manner, that is to say Five Hundred Dollars as soon as convenient to said John R. Creditors and five hundred Dollars in three annual payments the first be paid one year after my decease, the second two years after the third three years after my decease, and I authorize my Executor to make unto my son Thomas L. a good and sufficient deed of conveyance at or soon after my decease by him complying with the above. Item the third. I give and devise to my son John B. one thousand Dollars to be paid by my son Thomas L. as above stated in said Legacy of Thomas L. Item the fourth. I give and devise to my daughter Elizabeth Achison the one fourth of the proceeds of the East half of my mansion farm Item fifth. I give and devisee to my daughter Mary Jane Proudfit the one fourth of the proceeds of the sale of the East half of my mansion farm. Item the sixth. I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah P. Forsythe the one fourth of the proceeds of the sale of the East half of my mansion farm. Item the Seventh. I give and devise to my daughter Susan P. the one fourth of the proceeds of the sale of the East half of my mansion farm and also to her out of my personal property one horse one cow and one Bureau and to occupy a part of the mansion house as long as she remains single until said premises is disposed of as within stated. Item the Eighth. It is my wish that my wife Margaret hold all property she brought with her at our marriage that is in hands free from sale and to her only use. Item the ninth. I give and devise that my Executors pay all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid out of the proceeds of my personal property and if a balance of fifty dollars be left that my Executors pay it over to the Treasurer of Foreign Wilsons of the United Presbyterian Church the balance to be equally divided among said heirs. Item the tenth. I do hereby appoint Patterson Proudfit and James T. Patterson Executors of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former will s by me made in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and fifty nine. David Wilson Signed and acknowledged by said David Wilson as his last Will and Testament in our presence and signed by us in his presence. Robt Marshall James T. Patterson I do make and publish this supplement or codicil to my last Will and Testament that to say my will bearing date on the fifteenth day of April A.D. 1859, Item the first. I give and devise to my Grand-daughter Sarah Martha daughter of my deceased son John R. Wilson, the sum of Two hundred Dollars to be paid by my son Thomas L. Wilson when she arrives at twelve years of age to be paid to the Guardian hereafter named not having interest until that period. Item the second. I give and devise to my Grand daughter Susan Jane daughter of John r. deceased, Two hundred dollars to be paid to her Guardian hereafter when she arrives at twelve years age not having interest. It is further my will that if said children should require some of the above $200 for clothing or schooling or books before or at any time before they arrive at twelve years of age that my son Thomas L. furnish their Guardian with said amount and I appoint Joseph W. Marshall Guardian for Sarah Martha and John R. Marshall Guardian for Susan Jane, both Joseph W. and John R. Marshall living in Hancock County Illinois and I further will if either or both should die before the arrive at eighteen years in such case it be equally divided amongst my living children. I also give and devise to my daughter Susan P. in addition to what is stated in the Will, one hundred dollars to be paid two years after my decease by Thomas L. Wilson fulfilling an article of agreement made o the 15th day of April 1859. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and sixty.
