Written: January 3, 1868 Recorded: May 4, 1868 Guernsey County, Ohio Wills, 1852-1875, Volume 2, page 175. William D. Wilson’s Will In the name of the Benevolent Father of all; I William D. Wilson, of Guernsey county, and state of Ohio, being far advanced in years, but of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament. First: It is my will that all my honest debts and funeral expenses shall be paid. Second. I give and devise to my son James M. Wilson my farm situate in Guernsey county and State of Ohio, it being the North east quarter of the South East quarter of Section nine in township four and Range three of the unappropriated lands in the Military district, subject to sale at Zanesville Ohio, containing forty acres; also the West half of the south east quarter of Section nine, in Township four, Range three of the unappropriated lands in the Military district, subject to sale at Zanesville Ohio, containing eight acres; also the South East quarter of the South East quarter of Section nine in Township four of Range Three containing forty acres; And also the South East quarter of the North East quarter of Section fourteen in township four of Range three, containing forty acres more or less with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging. Third: Should my wife Elizabeth Wilson, survive me then it is my will that she shall have the one-third of all my estae or so much thereof as may be required for her maintenance during her natural life and I do further ordain and it is my will that at her decease, my son James M. Wilson shall pay to my daughter Elizabeth Jane, now intermarried with Peter Fuller, two hundred dollars. Fourthly: I do hereby nominate and appoint my son James M. Wilson, the sole executor of this may last will and testament. Fifth: I do further ordain, and it is my will that at our death, my son James M. Wilson shall pay to the heirs of John P. Wilson one dollar each. Sixth: I do hereby revoke all other wills by me made. In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this third day of January, A.D. 1868. Wm. D.
