Richard T. Dickerson, attorney-at-law, and one of the leading men of his profession in Hamilton county, was born at Williamstown, Grant county, Ky., October 22, 1884. He attended the public schools of his native county, the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, from which he was graduated in 1906, with the degree of Bachelor of Arts, and the Cincinnati Law School. Immediately after being admitted to the bar, in 1909, Mr. Dickerson began the practice of his profession with his father, William W. Dickerson, and in association with the firm of which he was then a member, Cloe, Dicker-son & Clayton. Subsequently, Mr. Dickerson practiced alone for two and one-half years, then again with his father, when his civil life was broken into by his military service during the World war. He enlisted in the First Officers' Training Camp, in May, 1917, was commissioned captain of Company E, Three Hundred and Thirty-second Infantry, and served overseas for nine months, participating in the Italian campaign. February 10, 1919, Mr. Dicker-son was honorably discharged, and, returning home, once more went into partnership with his father, the firm now being Dickerson & Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson belongs to the college fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon, the legal fraternity Phi Delta Phi. Professionally he maintains membership with the Hamilton County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and is active in each. He is a Mason, a member of the local post of the American Legion, the Army and Navy Union, the Chamber of Commerce and the City Club. Believing thoroughly in the Boy Scout movement, he is now serving as assistant scout master, and possesses in marked degree the faculty of interesting boys and influencing them for good. As an attorney he is widely known as an honorable and successful general practitioner, and his record is extremely creditable. He is now assistant United States District Attorney for Southern District of Ohio. June, 1920, he was married to Miss Frances J. Redd, of Danville. Ky., the daughter of Dr. John W. Redd.
