Frank H. Freericks, an attorney-at-law at the bar of Cincinnati, and secretary of the Druggist Fire Insurance Company, is one of the substantial men of Hamilton county. He was born at Papenburg, Hanover, Germany, June 17, 1872, but was brought to Cincinnati in childhood and reared in this city. He attended the parochial schools of Saint Mary's parish, and later studied pharmacy at the Cincinnati College of Pharmacy, from which he was graduated in 1891, following which he was in the drug business until 1898. In the latter year he began the study of law in the Cincinnati Law School and was graduated from it in 1901 with the degree of Bachelor of Laws. In the meanwhile, during 1894 and 1895 ne was an instructor in chemistry at the Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. After his admission to the bar Mr. Freericks associated with Dwight S. Marfield and they continued together until 1907. Mr. Freericks organized the American Druggist Fire Insurance Company of which he is secretary and general counsel. This eminently dependable company had a capital of $100,000 at the time of incorporation, which was increased in 1908 to $200,000, and in 1920 to $300,000. Its assets are $750,000. It covers thirty-seven states and writes insurance on more than 15,000 retail drug stores in the United States. The officers of the company are Charles H. Avery, president; L. G. Heinritz, vice-president; F. H. Freericks, secretary and general counsel; and George B. Kauffman, treasurer. Mr. Freericks belongs to the Hamilton Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. Both as a lawyer and a keen and far-seeing business man Mr. Freericks has won distinction and is entitled to the success which has fallen to his lot.
