Charles M. Leslie. A corporation and commercial lawyer of high standing, Charles M. Leslie is an Indianan by nativity but essentially a Cincinnatian by education, inclination and training. He was born at Versailles, Ind., June 14, 1871, and as a lad attended the public schools of his native place. After attending and graduating from high school, he was sent by his parents to pursue a course at Hanover College, Indiana, and was there given his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. In pursuance with a well-defined plan for the following out of a successful career, Mr. Leslie then came to Cincinnati and entered the Cincinnati Law School, from which he was graduated in 1895 with the degree of Bachelor of Laws. He has been a resident and a practitioner of Cincinnati since the year mentioned and although his professional work in the earlier years was of a general nature, for a long time it has been almost confined to corporation and commercial law, a field in which he is a recognized leader. His practice is large and important and includes some of the larger business houses and corporations of the city and state. Mr. Leslie is a member of the Hamilton County Bar Association, the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and the Business Men's Club, and belongs to the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
