The cemetery is located northwest of the Harrison Tomb at Brower and Cliff Roads west of North Bend. Reading was done by Melanie Pratt (mpratt@ohiohistory.org) of the Ohio Historical Society in 1988 as part of a cemetery restoration project for OHS. The restoration is an ongoing project of the Society with the work being done by Minxie and Jim Fannin of Fannin-Lehner Conservators of Massachusetts.. This transcription is annotated, noting special details on the stones to help genealogical researchers. I did not 'clean up' the spelling, but copied everything exactly as it was spelled. Earlier readings were also checked. The first reading I came across was done by a Mrs. Baker in 1906, from her notes, entitled "Cemetary (sic) and Family Records of Mrs. C. W. Baker" at the Cincinnati Historical Society. The second reading was done by Marjorie Byrnside Burress in 1967, a local historian who was a valuable resource on my part of the project. In addition, the cemetery is home to an endangered species of plant life - Running Buffalo Clover (Trifolium stoloniferum) that is only found at one other spot in Ohio - also in Hamilton County. The plant is on the federal endangered species list.
