Last winter it was greatly enlarged and many new devices for the entertainment of the people were introduced. Among these may be mentioned "The Panama Canal" the most elaborate educational and amusement feature ever devised; the Frazzie, and fan palace for the old and young, Nut College, where there is a laugh at every turn; the Funny Bumps; Cupid's Travel, a surprise feature; the Figure Eight ever popular; the Miniature Railway the Tower and Scenic Rides; the Carousal; the Ball Room, the grat Bathing Beach with a mile of dressing rooms for men and women; the beautiful Club House, the charming Lake with it launches and boats; the Submarien Bridge; the immense new popular priced Cafe and Restaurant which can fee 10,000 people daily; the free Vandeville Theatre the free band Concerts; free illustrated songs and score of other attractions. Chester opens May 8th. Vanceburg Mr. Aaron Mawk, of Harris, Lewis county, Ky., who has been at Leesburg, Fla, this winter for his health stopped here last week to see his friends. Jas. McCleese, of Rugless, was in town yesterday. Thos. Collier, of Garrison, was here on business. COTTAGEVILLE Miss Florence Hendrickson of Tolesboro visited here recently. J. R. Boggs and family visited at Boggs Sunday. Miss Maggie Bevard, of Mason Co., visited her sister here. Miss Omah Pence, of Rectorville, is the guest of her brother here. Lafe Hunt is running the milk wagon from here to Rectorville. NOAH G. W. Prater and wife are rejoicing over the arrival of a fine boy. Mrs. Alice Hunt, sister and daughter, of Carlisle, visited relatives here recently. R. S. and N. L. Thacker, Clay and Forrest Payne, Thos Holland and Louie Meyer went to Vanceburg Monday. Vanceburg con't. A horse driven by Paul Pollitt took fright on West Second Street last Friday, kicked the dashboard off the runabout, made a circle through W. W. Dugan's front yard, jumped the fence across the alley by N.B. Fisher's and left the wrecked runabout hanging on the fence.
