Stathem History of Hamilton County, OH; published in 1881 by Ford pg 306 Transcribed by Patti Graman David E. Stathem first settled in Green township in 1817. He was born in 1792, in Cumberland county, New Jersey, from which State he emigrated to Ohio. His death occurred in 1867, at Cheviot. In 1817 he was a school teacher, when the country was a wilderness. A list of the patrons of his school and the number of pupils sent by each may be of interest in this connection.
