She was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Arlington to Andrew and Elizabeth Hannewald Glick, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 19, 1944, she married Walter Casper, who survives. Mrs. Casper lived in Arlington in her childhood years. She was confirmed at Good Hope Lutheran Church in 1936. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1939, where she participated on the basketball team and in school plays. She graduated as valedictorian of her class. She resided near Kenton where she and her husband engaged in farming for a number of years. They moved to Westminster in 1955 and were members of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cridersville, where she served in many ways. In 1999, they moved to Hillsboro. Her hobbies included sewing and collecting items with butterflies. Survivors also include four children, Russell (Barbara) of Hillsboro, Richard (Jennifer) of Canton, Mich., Gerald (Karen) of Columbus and Ann (Bob) Corder of Zanesville; five grandchildren, Christian (Anne) Casper, of Cary, N.C., Andrew Casper of Philadelphia, Marine Lt. Travis Casper of Oceanside, Calif., Trevor (Stephanie) Casper of Columbus and Kyle Casper of Columbus. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Sheri Casper; and siblings, Howard, Herbert and Harold Glick, Esther Doytari and Doris Massie. Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Cridersville. Pastor James C. Couser will officiate. A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Dola Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville (419/645-4501) and one hour before the service Thursday at the church.
