Blanchard Hancock County Ohio, Being of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament. 1st, I desire that all my just debts be paid including funeral expenses & 2nd, I give and bequeath to my wife Mary Greer all my personal property. Including monies notes and accounts. 3rd, I give and bequeath also to my said wife Mary, the free and full use, and occupancy of our old farm. To wit, the West half (1/2) South West quarter (1/4) Section Six (6) in Delaware Township Hancock County Ohio. And also the House and Lot we now occupy, on Main Street in the said Village of Mt. Blanchard Ohio, with free power to rent from year to year or otherwise, and to receive all rents and profits over, taxes and necessary expenses thereon, during her natural life time or as long as she remains my widow, and at her death, their said property to9 go to and be divided Equally between our children or their legal heirs. 4th, I desire that no appraisement and sale be made of my property and the Probate Court so direct. 5th, I hereby appoint, said Mary Greer my wife, sole Executrix of this my will and desire that, the Probate Court require their of her no bail – for the execution thereof. In witness whereof I have signed and sealed and published and declared this instrument as my will at Mt. Blanchard Ohio, this sixteenth day of November 1881. /ss/ John H. Greer The said John H. Blanchard Ohio on said 16th day of Nov 1881. signed and sealed tyhis instrument as his last will, and we at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereinto written our names as subscribed witnesses. /s/ Henry Greer /s/ Isaiah Bell Probate of Will: State of Ohio Hancock County ss. Testimony taken in the Probate Court in and for said County in proof of the last Will and Testament of John H. Greer, late of said County, deceased on this 16th day of Jany A.D. 1883, personally appeared in open court Henry Greer and Isaiah Bell the subscribing witnesses to the last Will and Testament of said John H. Greer deceased, bearing date on the 16th day of Nov. A.D. 1881 and being duly sworn and examined, depose and say that they were present at the execution of the said last Will and Testament of said John H. Greer hereto attached, that they saw the said testator subscribe said Will and heard him acknowledge his signature, and that the said testator at the time of executing the same was of full age and sound mind and memory and not under any restraint and that they signed the same as witnesses at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other.
