ANDREW HISEY, framer, P. O. Mount Victory, was born September 10, 1828, in
Columbiana County, Ohio, and is the son of Benjamin and Sarah (Dustman) Hisey,
both natives of Virginia and of German lineage. The subject of this sketch is
the oldest of a family of seven children, two deceased, and was educated at the
common schools of Columbiana County, this State. He has followed farming and
carpentering for his occupation, the latter of which he has pursued thirty-one
years. He was married September 17, 1857, to Clarinda Shirk, born November 18,
1838, in Union County, Ohio, a daughter of Adam and Anna (Dock) Shirk, both
natives of Virginia and of German descent. This union has resulted in five
children, viz., Anna, Eva, Artie F., Willie C. and Hollie. Anna, the oldest, is
the wife of William Lattimore, son of Francis and Minta Lattimore. Mr. and Mrs.
Hisey are members of the Christian Church. Mr. Hisey has resided in this county
since March of 1880. In politics, he is a Republican, and is one of the useful
citizens of Dudley Township.
