O. Kenton, is a native of Fleming County, Ky., where he was born July 29, 1811. He is a son of Jacob and Rachel (Green) Johnson, who came to Ohio in 1816. Our subject was educated in this county, and in 1853 was ordained as a minister. He also has two brothers who are ministers of the Gospel. He was married, July 7, 1836, to Leah Amley, daughter of William and Mary (Kersey) Amley. Mrs. Johnson was born in Kentucky in 1818. By this union there were born twelve children, four deceased. Mr. Johnson has acted as Justice of the Peace for seventeen year, and for the last two years has been farming five miles, north of Kenton, where he owns forty acres of land.
