O. Marseilles, is a native of this State, Knox County, where be was born January 30, 1835. He is a son of John and Mahala (Fry) Laughery, both of Pennsylvania; the former of Irish and the latter of German descent. Our subject was a member of a family of eight, two brothers and two sisters deceased, viz., Polly, Eliza, Kinsey and Hiram deceased; those surviving are William, Sylvester and Ruhama, the latter wife of N. Kelsey. Our subject received a common school education and was brought up to the occupation of a farmer, and is now the owner of thirteen and three-fourths acres of land in Goshen Township, where he has resided for fifteen years. He was married, in Paris Township, Union County, Ohio, by Squire William Robinson, and has had three children- William, born August 26, 1864; Ida, born February 26, 1871, and an infant, deceased, born January, 1874. Mr. Laughey has acted as School Director several times, is a member of the Grange and is a well-known farmer of Goshen Township.
