JOHN WARD, farmer, P. O. Mount Victory, was born October 11, 1849, in Richland
County, this State, and is the son of Francis and Charlotte (Holmes) Ward. His
mother was a native of this State, her parents of Virginia. His father was born
in England in 1815, and emigrated to Ohio at the age of seven years. The subject
of this sketch was educated at, the schools of Richland County and Kenton,
Hardin County. He has been a resident of this county for twenty-eight years. By
occupation, is a farmer, owns fifty-five acres of land in Dudley Township, and
is a representative citizen of his township.
