O. Kenton, was born January 7, 1858, in this county. His father, Martin Winebrinner, was born in Germany, 1812, and emigrated to America in 1837, settling in Ohio. He married, in 1846, Miss Wilhelmina Hartung, who was born in Prussia, May, 1825, and came to this State in 1835. He died in 1876. The subject of this sketch was the seventh of a family of nine children, as follows: George (deceased). Nicholas, John, Louisa, George, Mary, Martin, Wilhelminie and William Henry (deceased). Our subject has received, at different times, several injuries; once, by the falling of a tree, February 8, 1875, through which he was obliged to use crutches for a year; another time by the kick of a horse; and still another time by the falling of a limb from a tree, while he was sawing. He owns 231 1/4 acres of land in Goshen Township, and is an enterprising, industrious farmer and a worthy and useful citizen.
