All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/oh/ohfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Rita Guzzo rita.guzzo_47@verizon.net April 4, 2011, 11:40 pm Written: March 6, 1851 Recorded: October 16, 1854 Deed: Joseph Junkins & Others to John Zimmerman This indenture made this Sixth day of March in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and fifty one By and Between Joseph Junkins and Martha Junkins his wife and Mary Kellogg and Ivy Martin of the County of Hardin in the State of Ohio and Alexander Dickey and Nancy Dickey his wife and Stafford Junkins and Sarah Junkins his wife of the County of Ross and the State of Ohio of the first part and John Zimmerman of the County of Hardin and State of Ohio of the Second part Witnesseth that the Said Joseph Junkins and Martha his wife and Mary Kellogg and Ivy Martin and Alexander Dickey and Nancy his wife and Stafford Junkins and Sarah his wife for and in consideration of the Just Sum of One Thousand Dollars to them in hand paid the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have given granted Bargained Sold Released and conveyed and do by these presents give grant Bargain Sell release convey and confirm unto the Said John Zimmerman and his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of Land Situate and being on the waters of the Scioto River in the County of Hardin and State of Ohio Bounded and described as follows to wit, Beginning at a Stake lower Back corner to Macis[sp?] & McArthers Survey No 10221, 10310 & 10360 thence North Twelve degrees West one hundred and thirty four poles to a Stake Corner [Conect?] to Said Survey thence North Seventy Eight degrees East Seventeen poles to a Blue ash Walnut & Sugar tree and Red Oak corner [conect?] to Said Survey thence North Twelve degrees West thirteen poles to a Stone thence North Seventy Eight East one hundred and thirty four poles to a Stone thence South twelve degrees East one hundred and Forty Seven poles to a Sugar tree and Small ash in the West line of a track of four hundred acres heretofore Conveyed by Said Wallace and wife to Lewis Belt thence South Seventy Eight degrees West one hundred and fifty one poles to the beginning Containing one hundred and thirty seven acres and being a part of Robert Wihuoth[sp?] Survey No 11068 & 12198 of 1333 1/3 acres which Said Survey was granted unto Cadwallader Wallace by Patent being date the Twenty ninth day of July AD one thousand eight hundred and twenty six Signed by John Quincy Adams, President of the United States to Have and To Hold the premises aforesaid with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the Said John Zimmerman and unto his heirs and assigns forever and the Said Joseph Junkins and Martha his wife and Mary Kellough & Ivy Martin and Alexander Dickey and Nancy his wife and Safford Junkins and Sarah his wife for themselves and for their heirs Executors and Administrators covenant and promis to and with the Said John Zimmerman his heirs and assigns that the Said Joseph Junkins and Martha his wife and Mary Kellough and Ivy Martin and Alexander Dickey and Nancy his wife and Safford Junkins and Sarah his wife their heirs Executors and Administrators will well and Truly Warrant and forever Defend the premises herein and hereby granted unto the Said John Zimmerman and to his heirs and assigns against the Lawful Claims and demands of all and Every persons whomsoever In testimony whereof the Said Joseph Junkins and Martha his wife and Mary Kellough and Ivy Martin and Alexander Dickey and Nancy his wife and Stafford Junkins and Signed Sealed & delivered In the presence of John Ward Joseph Junkins Uriah S. Scott Nancy Dickey Safford Junkins Sarah Junkins State of Ohio Hardin County SS On the Sixth day of March A.D. 1851 Before the Subscriber a Notary Public within and for Said County personally appeared the Said Joseph Dunkins and Martha his wife and Mary Kellough and Ivy Martin who Signed and Sealed the foregoing deed and Acknowledged the Signing and Sealing thereof to be their act and deed for the purpose therein Expressed and the Said Martha Junkins wife of the said Joseph Junkins being by me Examined Separate and apart from her Said husband and the contents of Said Deed being fully made known to her by Reading the Same in her presence she did declare upon such Separate Examination that she did voluntarily Sign Seal and Acknowledge the Same and that she is Still Satisfied therewith Given under my hand and Seal this 6th day of March AD 1851. Haushaur NP State of Ohio Ross County SS Before me Satterfield Scott a Justice of the Peace in and for Said County personally appeared Stafford Junkins and Sarah his wife and Nancy Dickey above named and Acknowledged the Signing of the within Conveyance to be their Voluntary act and deed and Said Sarah Junkins wife of the Said Stafford Junkins being at the Same time Examined by me Separate and apart from her Said husband and the contents of the Said Instruments made known to her by me she then declared that she did voluntarily Sign Seal and Acknowledge the Same and that she is Still Satisfied therewith this 29th day of November AD 1851.
