Tullis of the County of Logan and State of Ohio for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty Dollars to him in hand paid by Elijah D. Zimmerman of the County of Hardin and the State of Ohio the receipt whereof he does hereby acknowledge has given granted bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said Elijah D. Zimmerman his heirs and assigns forever the following premises situate in the County of Hardin & Logan and the State of Ohio and bounded and described as follows a part of Virginia Military Survey No 10333 & 10341 Beginning in the East Line of said Survey at a Lynn & Ash South westerly corner to George Lamberts Survey No 12279 thence with the line of Lamberts said Survey N 10 E 106 poles to an ash South Easterly corner to a Lot of twenty acres part of said Survey No 10333 & 10341 heretofore conveyed to Henry Sirks thence with his line S 79 1/2 [degrees?] W 37.5 poles to two Small Sugar trees: thence S 10 E 100 poles to the beginning containing eleven & 72/100 acres more or less. To have and to hold the said granted premises with all the appurtenances and privileges to the same belonging unto the said Elijah D. Zimmerman his heirs and assigns forever And the said John W. Tullis for himself and heirs doth hereby covenant with the said Elijah D. Zimmerman his heirs and assigns that he is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid they are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever and that he will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances to the said Elijah D. Zimmerman his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the siad John W. Tullis has hereunto set his hand and seal this fifteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine. Signed Sealed and delivered John W.
